This module features Sixteen (16) single group sourcing output channels that operates at voltage range of 10-32VDC. It provides output current of 0.5 A resistive per channel @ 10…32V DC and 8 A resistive per module @ 10…32V DC, max. This module features reduced output delay of 10 µs, ±1 µs @ 25 °C (77 °F) @ 0.5 A for faster response. It is capable of implementing scheduled outputs at resolution of 1 ns and accuracy of ±10 µs . This module may be used as Local I/O or distributed I/O component. It uses 5069-RTB18-SPRING RTB and 5069-RTB18-SCREW RTB.

Additionally, this module is equipped with detection capability of abnormal conditions including Field power loss detection, No load detection, Output short circuit, output overload and over temperature detection. Additionally, built-in protection features to the module include Output short circuit, Overload protection, Reverse voltage protection. It has an internal fuse for overvoltage protection.
For faster module response, the module’s signal delay is reduced. For both channel transitions, the signal delay is 10 µs, ±1 µs @ 25 °C (77 °F) @ 0.5 A. Additionally, the minimum output pulse width is 20 µs @ 0.5 A @ 25 °C (77 °F). This module may also be configured to implement output scheduling. This feature has an accuracy ±10 µs accuracy and 1 ns resolution.
Being part of the Compact 5000 I/O family, this module is configured using the Studio 5000 Logix designer. It may be installed as local I/O of CompactLogix 5380 and 5580 controllers as well as distributed I/O component of the entire Logix controller platform.
